The Girl They Were Never Allowed to See

Chapter 2: The Name That Should Not Exist

The name hung in the air longer than it should have.

Lily.

The biker leader repeated it once under his breath, almost like testing whether it was real.

Behind him, one of the men muttered, “That can’t be.”

The leader didn’t turn.

He just stared at the girl.

“Who sent you?” he asked.

“No one,” she said quickly. “I came myself.”

That answer made the room even colder.

The leader stepped closer.

“And your mother?”

“Anna.”

The reaction was immediate.

A glass shattered somewhere behind the bar.

No one looked at it.

Because every man in the room had gone still at the same time.

Anna.

A name that had been erased from conversations for years.

The leader’s voice lowered.

“You shouldn’t know that name.”

The girl stepped back slightly.

“Why?”

No one answered.

Instead, the leader turned his head slowly toward the window.

The rain outside had stopped.

Completely.

No wind. No thunder. No sound.

Just unnatural silence.

One of the bikers whispered, “This isn’t normal.”

The leader’s jaw tightened.

“No,” he said. “It’s not.”

Then he looked at the girl again.

And made a decision he did not explain.

“Bring her,” he ordered.

And for the first time in years, the bikers moved like soldiers instead of men.
