My Father Hit My Fiancé—Then the Billionaire Arrived

CHAPTER 5 — The Name Above the Garage

Victor planned to regain Hale Automotive through a hidden corporation.

Emily rejected the offer and handed the documents to investigators.

The attempted purchase added new fraud charges.

Hale Automotive entered restructuring. Emily sold the luxury headquarters but protected the factories and their employees. She created a compensation fund for customers affected by the defective brakes.

The childhood home was saved without Arthur's money.

Emily converted part of it into a legal center for employees pressured to sign fraudulent documents.

Victor received a lengthy prison sentence.

He continued insisting that everything he had done was for his family.

Emily stopped answering his letters.

Daniel remained at the repair shop even after Arthur asked him to join Sterling's executive board.

"I'll lead the safety division," Daniel said. "But I'm keeping my tools."

Arthur accepted the decision.

He had built his fortune from factories and boardrooms. Daniel reminded him that the most important decisions were often made beneath a raised car by someone holding a wrench.

One year later, Daniel and Emily married inside the restored workshop where Victor had struck him.

Maria attended as the new director of quality control.

The accident victim cut the first slice of wedding cake.

Arthur stood beside the red tool cabinet, pretending not to cry.

Before the ceremony, Emily found Daniel wiping oil from his hands.

"My father said I could never marry a mechanic."

Daniel looked at his work clothes.

"Technically, he was right. You married the head of automotive safety."

Emily smiled.

"No. I married the mechanic."

Daniel had once hidden his family name because he wanted someone to love the man beneath it.

Emily proved herself when she defended him before knowing he was wealthy.

Arthur's arrival exposed Daniel's identity.

But Emily's choice revealed her character.

Victor believed a mechanic was beneath his daughter, never realizing the mechanic would help her rise above everything her father had become.
