The Silent Boy Called the Nanny Mama
Chapter 4
Adrian turned cold.
"Taken by whom?"
The butler said, "Two men forced her into a black car outside her boardinghouse."
Adrian looked at Vanessa.
She looked scared.
Not surprised.
That was enough.
Adrian left the house immediately and went to Thomas Beaumont's private clinic. Thomas was Vanessa's father and the Whitmore family lawyer. For years, people had whispered that his clinic was where rich families sent women they wanted hidden.
Adrian arrived with the police.
Vanessa followed in another car, begging him not to make a scene. Margaret came too, silent and pale.
They found Elena locked in a room on the second floor.
She was bruised, but alive.
When Adrian opened the door, Elena stared at him as if she could not believe he had come.
He crossed the room and held her.
"I'm sorry," he whispered. "I should have found you sooner."
The police arrested Thomas Beaumont.
At first, he denied everything. But when the officers found forged medical papers, false identity records, and files about Elena's arrest, he started talking.
Vanessa had asked him to "solve the problem" before the engagement became public.
Margaret had not ordered the kidnapping, but she knew Thomas was dangerous and said nothing.
Vanessa broke down in the hallway.
"I loved you!" she shouted at Adrian. "I was there when she left you!"
Elena answered quietly, "No. You were there because you helped make me disappear."
Two days later, the DNA results came back.
Elena was Leo's biological mother.
Adrian ended the engagement publicly.
Vanessa left the estate in disgrace. Thomas Beaumont was charged. Margaret lost control over the household and the family business.
That night, Leo fell asleep between Adrian and Elena on the sofa.
For the first time in years, he looked peaceful.
Adrian looked at Elena.
"I can ask forgiveness forever," he said. "It still won't be enough."
Elena looked down at Leo.
"There is one more thing you need to know."
Adrian felt his chest tighten.
"What?"
Elena's voice shook.
"The day I lost Leo, I wasn't alone."
Adrian stared at her.
She looked up with tears in her eyes.
"I gave birth to twins."
